Horsepower & Torque Ratings

\r\n\r\n

The XR950-PRO engines are rated in foot pounds of torque, not horsepower. Vanguard engines are rated in gross horsepower by Briggs & Stratton per the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) specification J1940. To make comparing engine power rating simpler, we also give you the torque rating in foot pounds for each Cyclone Rake engine. Horsepower and torque are not the same thing when comparing engines, so check the power ratings carefully. Rest assured that when you choose Briggs & Stratton brand engines, you’re getting the best.
