\n You'd be surprised, but many power equipment suppliers don't use real rubber tires. Instead, they’re\n primarily a mixture of lower-grade plastics with various fillers. We use the real thing, from only the\n top-grade suppliers who proudly put their company name on each tire. They last many times longer than the\n no-name substitutes commonly sold.

\n You don't need wrenches and screwdrivers to change hoses or set up your Cyclone Rake. All connections are\n made by heavy-duty solid steel spring-loaded latches with a holding force of 70 pounds each. We use at least\n 10 of them on every Cyclone Rake, and even more if you own our accessories. And, of course, they are\n polished triple-plated chrome like our other moving parts.\n

\n We use heavy-duty ball bearings wherever they’re needed. For example, the trunnion bearings in our swivel wheels are type 6306 double-sealed industrial ball bearings with a dynamic load capacity of 6,000 pounds. Each bearing weighs over ¾ of a pound, which is probably more than the wheel bearings in your car. And our Briggs & Stratton™ engines are loaded with ball bearings, which is one of the reasons for their long life.
\n
\n Wherever strength is important we use solid steel parts that are virtually indestructible. For example, these clamp knobs are machined from steel bar stock or upset-forged by special dies, just for the Cyclone Rake. You can lose them, but you sure can’t break them!
\n
\n Common bolts are known as grade 2. We don’t use them. All our fasteners ¼ inch or larger are either grade 5, grade 8, or metric grade 8.8, with a yield strength of 92,000 psi or better. Many of our fasteners are custom-designed and manufactured just for us because stock fasteners are not good enough.
\n
\n They’re miracles of engineering design that last for years. The fabric is 1200 denier polyester with sun-fade UV protection and a pure polymer backing that stays flexible for years. Seams are double or triple-sewn with special industrial-strength synthetic polymer thread that never rots or weakens. Top screens are a solid polymer that’s impervious to abrasive dirt, dust, and stones. Even the collar that connects the bag to the blower chute is solid steel (not elastic fabric) with two 70-pound spring-loaded latches for a secure attachment.

Your new Cyclone Rake has been engineered to fit your mower, whether it’s a ZTR, a traditional riding mower, or a sub-compact tractor. As long as your mower has a right-handed discharge chances are, we’ll be able to connect your new Cyclone Rake to it.
\n\nAfter being in business for more than 20 years we’ve come to learn a thing or two about connecting to lawn mowers. We’ve found that the more custom the connection can be, the better. Customizing the way your Cyclone Rake leaf and lawn vacuum connects to your mower gives you a better performance, a better connection, and a better experience. For this reason, we’ll connect the Cyclone Rake to your ZTR the same way we connect to a traditional riding mower, no extra kit is needed.

The Mower Deck Adapter (MDA) is the boot piece that connects the deck of your mower to the Cyclone Rake system. They’re made from high-density polyethylene to handle all the grass, leaves, and nuts, on your property. Even the occasional rock! We have several dozen different MDA designs depending on the make, model, and deck size of your mower. Many of them come pre-cut to fit the deck of your mower specifically. While these do change depending on your mower, they connect to zero-turn mowers the same way they connect to traditional riding mowers.
\n\nNOTE: The Mower Deck Adapter is included in our Cyclone Rake Bundles. If you purchase one of the standard models you will need a way to connect the deck of your mower to the Cyclone Rake if you don’t have a boot or adapter from a previous bagging unit.

Not only does the dual pin hitch allow a rigid mount, and make it impossible to jackknife, but it also allows us to use the shortest, and straightest length of deck hose possible. When you connect your Zero Turn Mower to other leaf and lawn vacuums on the market, you also need to purchase a whole other kit to hold their long hose in place. Not with the Cyclone Rake. We custom-fit the length of hose that you need for your mower to be just the right length. One of the things we’re most proud of about the Cyclone Rake is the way it connects to the rear of your mower with our dual-pin hitch. This means that the Cyclone Rake is connected in two separate points which creates a rigid mount to the rear of your mower. Just like our MDAs, we have many different varieties of these dual-pin designs to accommodate hundreds of different mowers. That includes your zero-turn mower! The rigid mount makes it impossible to jackknife the Cyclone Rake when you’re backing up.

Absolute Beast!
Easy to assemble with very good instructions. I purchased the Z-10. This thing is an absolute beast as my title states. I was not only impressed with the power but the large holding capacity as well. It’s easy to hook up and a breeze to operate and run. It just takes a little getting used to with the added length since it swings with the mower, unlike a trailer style. I did end up shortening it a bit which made it fun on my trailer and allowed for easier turns. However the non-jackknifing when backing up to empty, especially if unloading onto a trailer is unbeatable! After getting the Cyclone Rake I made it a point to look at a few others from the competition. They don’t even compare, and look cheaply made and small in physical size. The motors look very homeowner grade, unlike the commercial grade of the Cyclone Rake. I definitely bought the best machine from the absolute BEST company for my lawn care business!
